Emily had a fantastic year in Kindergarten. We are thrilled with how much she has learned and how well she did. Her teacher, Mrs. Flynn, was amazing. She made school so much fun for the kids. Emily has told me several times that she is really going to miss her. One of the other moms and I were talking about how well everyone in the class got along. They all became such great friends. Here are a few highlights from the year.
Wearing their "Clifford" dog ears.
Hard at work
Everyday Emily would come home with shoes filled with sand from the playground.
Lunch in the Cafeteria
Their class pets "Cookies and Cream"
Tying a red ribbon on the fence for "Say No to Drugs" week
Pumpkin carving
Halloween
Working on Christmas crafts
Field trip to the Science Center
Field trip to the Edith Bush Theater to see a live production of "The Velveteen Rabbit"
I love: the Lord, my husband and kids, being a stay at home mom, trying out new recipes, shopping, the mountains, traveling, New York City, the ocean, rainy afternoons, hot chocolate on a cold day, coffee first thing in the morning, my morning quiet times, Bible studies, Reformed theology, reading a great novel, dates with my husband, girls night out, fall weather, football games, taking my kids to Disney, Christmas, going for walks at sunset, walking on the beach looking for seashells, an occasional glass of wine, steaks on the grill, sushi
