Matt and I recently went to New York, my favorite city. While we were there, we celebrated out 7th wedding anniversary.
Central Park
Central Park was beautiful...the flowers were amazing.
While Matt was working, I did some sightseeing and shopping. I took tours of Radio City Music Hall and NBC studios. We saw Wicked which was fantastic. I also saw Young Frankenstein by myself the night that Matt had his client event. This was my first time getting around the city by subway. Mostly because I didn't want to spend all my money on taxis. I was surprised by how clean they were. My favorite part of the trip was taking the ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. On past trips, the line for this was always way too long. This time I got up early enough to make it onto the first ferry out. Seeing it up close was amazing. You really have no idea just how huge it is, until you are standing beneath it. I was lucky enough to get a Monument pass, which gave me access to the museum underneath the statue where you can see the original torch and the observation level on the top of the pedestal that she stands on.

I also made a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. You could literally spend days there and still not see everything inside.
I spent most of my time there in the European Impressionist wing.
We stayed at the lovely Michelangelo hotel where we also stayed last summer.
Our hotel was only a short walk from Rockefeller Center and 5th Avenue which is my favorite part of the city, so we spent a lot of time there.
